Willis & Gambier gives thumbs up to Chevin's RoadBASE

Quality bedroom and dining furniture manufacturer Willis & Gambier can now 'rest easy' regarding the management of its company car and distribution fleet.

The Saffron Walden-based company has organised everything within Chevin Fleet Solutions' RoadBASE® system, which now looks after everything from maintenance to fuel purchases. "Not having had a similar system in the past – and previously relying on a bewildering array of spreadsheets - we all feel that RoadBASE® is extremely easy to use," said distribution manager Julie Abrahams.

"We purchased RoadBASE® having been impressed with the demonstration and instantly saw that it would fulfil all our needs. We've been using it for six months now and not had any problems. Chevin's trainer was very helpful and provided all the information we needed to get up and running with the system at once. RoadBASE® has made finding information so much easier as we can locate everything at the touch of a button."

Stephen de Launay of Chevin added: "We met with Willis & Gambier at a 'Technology Day' organised by the Freight Transport Association, where suppliers were invited to show how new technology can help fleets. Although this was not a 'sales' conference as such, Willis & Gambier booked a demonstration there and then. In the end I visited, demonstrated, and installed the system on the day! They have a fleet of 10 company cars and some 15 commercial vehicles. RoadBASE® fitted the bill and we’re pleased to have yet another satisfied customer running a 'tight ship' fleet operation."
