Chevin User Days In Review

"Controlling costs in a credit crunch"was the key topic arising from two highly successful 2008 Chevin User Days held in Birmingham and for the first time this year, Edinburgh. A wide array of both private and public sector delegates, with responsibility for a variety of mixed fleets including cars, trucks, plant and commercial vehicles, were in attendance at the conferences, travelling to the venues from a number of global locations. Attendees heard how a number of recent developments to Chevin's Fleet Management software systems, will help them to manage their transport operations even more effectively and also had the opportunity to see both added and existing functionality in a dedicated "workshop session" environment. Ashley Sowerby, Managing Director of Chevin, commented: "Understandably, this year's main area of concern for fleet operators was the current financial climate and how to better control costs. Delegates were able to see how recent developments to Chevin's award-winning Fleet Management software systems will offer better visibility of all fleet-related expenditure. This ranged from the improved administration of penalty charge notices, to online fleet benchmarking, to the elimination of mileage "creep." Both User Days were very informative and productive and they are always an important event for us in terms of future product development. The feedback these events generate, always plays a key role in assisting us to develop further innovative new solutions. Chevin is committed to continuing to offer our customers, and other similar transport operations, ongoing cost savings and peace of mind in an uncertain market."
